To all the mothers whom have taken the responsibility to parent, may this day bring you joy, honor, and love.
I love a holiday and a reason to come together and celebrate. Still reeling from baby girl’s birthday celebration, Mother’s Day is here, and cause for yet another celebration!
This year, the mothers have opted for a catered lakeside, Mother’s Day brunch. We wanted to sit back, be pampered, converse, and eat: salmon, oxtails, bread pudding, oh my! I can hardly wait. Thank you Chef.

My mother is the strongest woman I know. I have had a front row seat and watched as she has made the sweetest lemonade, out of lemons… and continues to rise. Amongst other values, she instilled hard work, discipline, dedication, and self-efficacy in me; for that I am forever thankful. I know that all she had, she has given to me and my brother.
These past few years have been a redefining of love for our family. I live for this time and space. Momma, I admire you, your life, and your life’s accomplishments. Love you.
Happy Mother’s Day Momma!
A Mother’s Love
Mothers nurture
And Mothers teach.
Mothers allow us to dream
Letting us know the stars are not out of reach.
Mothers sacrifice
And Mothers guide, love, and heal.
Mothers pour their souls into their children
So much of what Mothers do goes unnoticed, never to be revealed.
Motherhood comes with its share of fears and doubts
It’s all-consuming, humbling, and reflective.
Motherhood is an investment
The return is to know you have been effective.
Mothers, stay encouraged and uplifted in prayer
Even if the fruits of your labor, you never see.
Know that motherhood is a blessing
Continue to give all that you have, open and free.
Mothers you are seen, loved, and appreciated!!
Happy Mother’s Day!
Teacher’s Appreciation
Our children spend more awake time per day with a teacher, than they do at home. Much like a mother’s love, many teachers will not see the fruits of their labor. I want to thank all the teachers that have influenced my life, and my children’s young lives.
This has been a challenging year for my children; filled with loss and new normals. Their teachers, Mrs. Hawkins and Ms. Dawn have not only taught, but loved them while in their care, and for that, I am beyond appreciative.
Teachers, I know the resources can be scarce, the pay may be low, but know the work you do is important, invaluable, and makes a difference.
The influence of a good teacher can never be erased – Unknown.
BTW: I am so grateful and thankful for ALL the mothers that raised me, continue to encourage, inspire, and empower me. I take pieces of you with me and strive to feed my children with that bread, daily.
