Red Lipstick: My New Favorite Shade and Why You Need It

There’s something undeniably empowering about finding the perfect red lipstick, and I’ve just discovered a shade that’s become my new go-to favorite.

I’m not one to typically wear a full face of makeup day-to-day, but I do love adding a little color to my lips. Maybe this is a beauty practice passed down from the generations before me. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my mother or my Gham-ma (paternal grandmother) leave the house without putting on lipstick. “Put a little color on your lips,” my Gham-ma would always say. Whether they were stepping out in their Sunday best or running through the drive-thru in a muumuu, you could bet their lipstick was poppin’.

Lately, when I step out of the house, my go-to color and must-have beauty product is a bold red lipstick. There’s just something about it that makes me feel radiant, confident, put together, and, to quote Shania Twain, “Man! I feel like a woman!”
