New Year’s Eve. The last holiday of the season. What are you doing?
Although I have not solidified any plans for New Year’s Eve. If I know, like I know, I will be at home with my family waiting for the ball to drop and then sleep shortly afterward, if not before.
I am sure there is no shortage of things to do in the city for New Year’s Eve. However, in this season of my life, I do not have the desire or the stamina to “party” like it’s 1999. With the fear of sounding old, I am just thankful to be alive.
Sure, I would love to be getting ALL dolled up, hitting the town, and painting it red, ALL night long…. Who am I kidding! The thought alone makes me tired. I have been waiting to be old my whole life. And not that 40 + is old, but the crackles, hip pains, and need for a daily rest time, tells me it’s not young either. We celebrated my brother’s birthday with a Cowboys football watch party a couple weeks ago, and every one was shocked I was there past 10:30p. And on a school night.
I am sure we will make New Year’s Eve a game night: Uno and video games. The meal will be easy; everyone in the house is a fan of nachos or maybe a crab boil. For dessert, homemade cookies. And for me, cheddar popcorn. This sounds like a plan!
Although this fourth quarter has been very busy and taxing for me, as with most people, it has also been filled with family, building, bonding, and love. A good foundation for anything, if you ask me.
Cheers to new beginnings!
BTW: Happy New Year!! Wishing Love Peace and Soul to you and yours, in the new year ahead!!!
I want to know what you will be doing for New Year’s Eve: partying, watch night, relaxing at home? What are your plans?

We’re planning a romantic dinner to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary ❤️. But, like you we will be home early. Thanks, again for recommending The Henry, a couple of years ago. 😋👍🏽.
