Unplugging to heal isn’t always about stillness—it’s about intention. This week, I’m on a cruise with my kids and their dad.

We have a few excursions planned, and no, I won’t be lying around all day. But I’m unplugged. There is be no Wi-Fi. No international coverage. No driving or RV hookups. I do not have to multitask my way through any moments.
That alone is rest.
I worked ahead so I could mentally release the pressure. I wrote and scheduled this blog before we ever left shore. That was part of my healing too—making space to be present without guilt.
I wasn’t raised to be idle. For a long time, I believed rest was too close to laziness. But I know now: true rest isn’t about stopping. It’s about shifting. Choosing to slow down before life forces you to.
Even healers need healing. Even mamas need margin.
Mantra:
I honor my body with rest. I trust that everything meaningful will wait for me.
BTW: “Rest is a form of resistance because it disrupts the lie that we are not enough.” – The Nap Ministry
Unplug something—your phone, your schedule, your self-expectations—and let your healing catch up.
